CTV Ottawa presents a Special Town Hall – Bell Let’s Talk Tuesday, Jan. 28

25 Jan 2014

During a special broadcast of CTV News at 6, Graham Richardson and Carol Anne Meehan will bring you stories, interviews and activities to talk about mental health. The goal, to bring mental illness out of the shadows.

With partners at The Royal, CTV News will discuss the signs of mental illness, particularly among young people. What should parents look for? And how can mental illness be treated.

Carol Anne Meehan presents a special report on the connection between mental illness among teens, and the dangerous use of Opioids and other mind-altering drugs.

CTV Ottawa will fill our studio audience with guests who will offer advice on a number of areas including:

  • Physical fitness and mental health
  • Good nutrition and overall wellness
  • How social media can help our teen’s get help for emotional issues
  • How to get help for anyone in crisis
  • And how to take part in Clara’s Big Ride to bring awareness to mental health issues

There will also be a Tweet-Up to raise awareness for Bell Let’s Talk. Use the #BellLetsTalk and join the online conversation.

On Tuesday, Jan. 28, Bell will donate 5 cents for every long distance call, text or Tweet to support mental health programs across Canada.
